AquaPaddle Burton

AquaPaddle Burton is located at Newton Park on the East Bank of the River Trent. There is plenty of space to prepare your craft and enter the water. The route follows the Trent upstream under bridges and through the remarkably green heart of Burton-upon-Trent.

The town is famous for its brewery and after the event you might want to try a recovery drink.

Parking

Car park and launch area

The route is upstream through the centre of Burton-upon-Trents green open spaces. There are three bridges to go under, Trent Bridge, St Peter’s Bridge and the picturesque old Ferry Bridge just before the turn point near Waterside some 250m upstream.

Tranquil Trent

There is plenty of wildlife to lookout for with herons and if you are lucky the high speed Kingfishers. The Tucklesholme nature reserve is just upstream and that attracts many different bird species, so be sure to look out for something unusual.
